I had a gentle childhood growing up along the shores of Long Island Sound in Connecticut. There were caves to explore, trees to climb, lakes and the Sound to swim in and boat on.

In the 60's I became a social activist joining with the Quakers and their determination to walk in Peace with this Planet and all living things. I worked with them in "Spanish Harlem" in New York City. There many ethnic varieties with different spiritual practices lived together — this triggered my imagination. I wanted to explore further these varied spiritual paths.

I went to Oaxaca, Mexico to sit in circle with a medicine woman or "curandera". A small group of us were initiated into the mysteries of sacred plant spirits. My life opened and I dedicated my heart to the pursuit of Shamanic healing.

I then began studies with Michael Harner and the fabulous teachers of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. I studied Core Shamanism and the rich work of Sandra Ingerman's Soul Retrieval. It has been a sincere "Coming home".

Angeles Arrien, cross-cultural anthropogist, initiated me into the Four-Fold Way. Her work honors "the perennial wisdoms found among the indigenous people of each continent to further attend to the husbandry and stewardship of Mother Earth." In a naming ceremony, I "Leslie" became I "Jacqueline". It was a Baptism of the sweetest grace.

I then began studies with Michael Harner and the fabulous teachers of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. I studied Core Shamanism and the rich work of Sandra Ingerman's Soul Retrieval. It has been a sincere "Coming home".

I began doing Shamanic Healing on my own clients, often in conjunction with my body-work practice. Angeles Arrien, cross-cultural anthropologist taught me her Four-Fold Way. Her work honors the "perennial wisdoms found among the indigenous people of each continent to further attend to the husbandry and stewardship of Mother Earth.
